Questions for Mark 13

1. What in the sermon on Mark 13 encouraged you, convicted you, or challenged your walk with Christ?

2. The great hope of the New Testament is the truth that Jesus is returning for his people. How does this truth give you great comfort?

3. In the passage, Jesus reminds the disciples (v. 9-13) that “the gospel must be proclaimed to all nations.” How does Jesus’ second coming shape your evangelism? And how does adversity challenge you evangelism?

4. There are many things that try to rival Jesus in our world. How do we continually prize Jesus and the gospel above all other things? How do passages about Christ in the Scriptures help us do this?

5. Do you think that the lives of believers today look more like people who are sleeping in our faith or people who are awake? How can we live our lives so that we “stay awake?”
