- Series: A King and His Cross
These questions go with the sermon from Mark 14:43-72 preached on March 3rd. Click the notes tab to the left to download a pdf of the questions.
1. How did this sermon convict, encourage, or challenge you?
2. How does the understanding that Christ is not first in my life, but central to everything in my life change the ways in which we live? How do we better seek to make much of Christ and please him in all aspects of our daily living?
3. What two sins lead to Peter’s denial? How do we see these sins at work in our lives? What specific things can we do to put them to death?
4. Test case: A fellow believer comes to you and confesses a pattern of sin to you. He says that he feels terrible about turning his back on Christ over and over. He says he can’t see a time when he’ll never stop struggling with this sin. He doesn’t want to come to church because he feels like the worst sinner in the room. He feels a thousand miles from God. How would you counsel your brother. Use specific verses or passages from the Word.
5. Testify of a time in your life when you experienced the breadth of Jesus’ grace. What means did he use (i.e. a book, a friend, a sermon, a situation) to show you his grace? How has your life changed?
