Questions for Mark 8:31-33

1. Describe something that stood out to you from last Sundayʼs message.
2. How does the death and resurrection of Christ affect our everyday lives? Provide specific examples and instances from your life.
3. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 that Jesus died, was buried, and rose again according to the Scriptures (which at this point was still the Old Testament). Find and describe an OT passage that foretells Jesusʼ death and/or resurrection.
4. As believers we know that Jesus died to take away our sins. But why was this necessary? Couldnʼt God, who can do all things, just forgive us? Back up your answers with scripture.
5. Do we ever deny the work of Christ in our lives? Describe specific examples of thoughts, actions, or feelings that might show our denial.
6. How does the resurrection of Christ affect the way we understand and deal with death - death of others and even our own?
