1. How did Sunday’s sermon on service towards others convict, challenge, or encourage me?
2. In Mark 9 and 10, Jesus holds servanthood as a characteristic to be exalted in his kingdom. How is this unlike the world in which we live? What does the world value instead?
3. Humility and submission are essential for a disciple. Why are these necessary for service to one another? In what practical ways can we increase our serving one another?
4. At Christ Fellowship, one of our strongest passions is missions. How does service enable us to fulfill the great commission (compare 1 Cor. 9:19-23)? In what practical ways can we increase our service to our city, that we might win them to the Lord?
5. Jesus teaches the disciples in 10:39-40 that they must share the cup and baptism with Him. How do service and suffering relate to one another? How do these relate to the call on your life to be a disciple?
6. Mark 10:45 is one of most important passages in the gospel. How does this passage impact your understanding of Christ's purpose on earth? And how does it shape your heart for service?
