  • Series: How To Lose Your Life

These questions go with the sermon preached on October 4 from Matthew 28:16-20. Click the notes tab to the left to download a pdf of the questions.

1. How did Sundayʼs sermon on the Great Commission and its end convict, challenge, or encourage me?

2. In v. 18, Jesus states, "All authority in heaven and on earth have been given to me," (compare Dan 7:13-14). How should the authority of Jesus affect our evangelism? Our everyday lives? Our goals and purposes for life?

3. Jesus promises to be with us until the end of the ages. How should his presence with us bring us comfort? How should it embolden us to fulfill the great commission?

4. Paul states in Romans 9:1-5 that he wishes he could be cut off from Christ for the sake of his Jewish brothers knowing Jesus. Why might we not have the same holy anguish that Paul expresses for the lost? How can we change?

5. What practical things can we do to fulfill the great commission in our daily lives? Be specific and think locally and globally.
