Questions for Psalm 110

1. How did the sermon from Psalm 110 convict, challenge or encourage you this week?

2. In what ways does the fact that Jesus reigns as King bring comfort to us as God's children? How should this truth bring fear to those who do not know him?

3. In the Old Testament the people of God sought victory and peace from their physical enemies that were scattered around them. How does King Jesus bring victory for God's people? Who are our enemies?

4. Psalm 110 teaches the truth that Jesus is both King and Priest for his people. What would happen to God's people if Jesus ceased being King? What if he ceased being our great High Priest? Let the New Testament guide your answers.

5. Describe specific thoughts, actions, or feelings in your life that show a failure to honor Jesus as the King and High Priest over you. How can you change? What practical steps can you take toward honoring him more?

6. David writes that the Lord's Messiah will reign among his people and throughout the earth. How will the reign of Christ spread in the church and throughout the world? Is it by physical force like the Crusades or is it through the gospel? Explain your answers.
