It's easy to read the Bible and get lost in the details. Sometimes people get behind in a Bible reading because they simply can't track what is going on. We must remember that the whole Bible is driving home the gospel of Jesus Christ. Everything passage from Genesis to Revelation whispers his name.

This past summer, we taught on Wednesday nights a series called "The Disciple Making Church." One of the things we talked about is reading the Bible together as God's people in light of the gospel. Where people read the Scriptures looking for the holiness of God, the sinfulness of man, the saving grace of Jesus and then responding in repentance, faith and obedience.
