This is the Christ Fellowship Church Covenant adopted on February 1st, 2009.
Having, as we trust, been brought by the grace of God to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and to give up ourselves to Him, and having been baptized upon our profession of faith, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and believing that Christ has lead us to become a part of this fellowship, we do now solemnly and joyfully covenant together.
We will work and pray for the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace among this fellowship.
We will walk together in brotherly love, exercising an affectionate care and watchfulness over each other, and faithfully encourage and exhort one another as we await the returning of our Lord.
We will not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, nor neglect to pray for ourselves and others. We will serve one another, using the gifts God has granted to us through the Holy Spirit that this fellowship would be built up in Christ.
We will rejoice at one another’s happiness and, with tenderness and sympathy, bear one another’s burdens and sorrows.
We will constantly renew our minds to the truth of God’s holy Word, remembering that we were born again by his grace, having been brought into his kingdom in order that we should walk in holiness in the world, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts.
We will submit ourselves to the discipline of this fellowship as a testimony of our desire to always walk in a manner worthy of the Lord. And for our brothers and sisters we will seek their spiritual growth as dearly as our own.
We will strive to bring up our children and any under our care in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and by a pure and loving example to seek the salvation of our family and friends.
We will contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry that the gospel of Jesus Christ might go forth into our city and to the ends of the earth.
We will, when we move from this place, unite with some other church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God the Father, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all. Amen.
