The downtown area of Bowling Green is full of life as well as great need. From our very beginnings, Christ Fellowship Church has been committed to building a healthy church that would, by God’s grace, seek to reach this downtown community for Christ.

The idea of a church plant in downtown Bowling Green came first to Brian Curtis and Lance Parrott in the fall of 2006. As they began to pray and seek the Lord’s will, they felt his leading upon them to start this new church. A love for missions and a love for the church would come together through the means of church planting.

After receiving the blessing and support of area churches, being approved through the Kentucky Baptist Covenant as a High Impact church plant, and having Jody Sledge join the leadership team, Christ Fellowship Church officially launched on February 1st, 2009. Nearly two hundred friends, family, and other brothers and sisters in Christ gathered to witness 18 charter members gather to covenant together and start this church.

Since that first Sunday, Christ Fellowship has sought to be faithful to the Lord Jesus, to build up his church, and to seek to reach downtown Bowling Green for Christ. We have seen God’s faithfulness and mercy to grow us over these past eight years. Through the gracious gift of Andrew Baptist Church, we were able to plant our roots in the neighborhood that God has called us to. As they gave us our current building and property, we were able to update it, add on, and continue the legacy of gospel ministry in this neighborhood. Our first service the new building was March 26th, 2017.

Christ Fellowship is by no means a perfect church. But God is growing us and helping us to fulfill his mission in Bowling Green and the whole world!
