"Dearly beloved we are gathered here today ..." It would probably be hard to find someone who has never heard 1 Corinthians 13 read at a wedding. This is the great chapter on love. And while a marriage is surly to be union of love, Paul did not write this chapter so we could have something to read at weddings. Paul wrote the chapter because the Corinthian church - and our church too - faced the temptation of being an unloving people. They were valuing their gifts, their freedoms, and their positions in the church over love. And Paul writes to set them - and us too - straight. Listen as pastor Lance Parrott challenges us to see that without love we as a church are nothing.
